Rubber Compounds
The rubber compounds most commonly used in our production
Styrene-Butadiene Rubber
SBR (Styrene-Butadiene Rubber)
Resistance to: inorganic acids and bases, glycol-based brake fluid, water, alcohols.
Description: SBR vulcanizates have elasticity comparable to natural rubber but are more resistant to ozone, atmospheric agents, high temperatures, and abrasion. Primarily used in the production of tires, shoe soles, and other products exposed to wear and tear.
Temperature range: from -50°C to +100°C.
Nitrile Butadiene Rubber
NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber)
Resistance to: engine, transformer, heating oils, lubricants, hydraulic fluids, aliphatic hydrocarbons, propane, butane, gasoline, alcohols, salt solutions, diluted acids, and bases at low temperatures, water up to 60°C.
Description: Characterized by high flexibility, tear strength, low compression set, and oil resistance. Commonly used in hydraulic and pneumatic seals.
Temperature range: from -30°C to +100°C, short-term up to +120°C.
Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer
EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer)
Resistance to: hot water and steam, brake fluids, fire-resistant hydraulic fluids (HFD), glycol, acetone, organic acids, bases.
Description: Known for chemical resistance and good resistance to atmospheric agents and ozone. It is a good electrical insulator, used in seals for water systems, washing machines, and automotive brake systems.
Temperature range: from -50°C to +130°C.
Polytetrifluoro-methylvinyl siloxanes
FMQ (Fluorosilicone Rubber / Methylvinyl Silicone Rubber)
Resistance to: mineral oils and greases, dilute salt solutions, alcohols, hydraulic fluids, oxygen, ozone.
Description: It has excellent resistance to extreme temperatures, good dielectric properties, low compression deformation, and very good resistance to oxygen and ozone. It has higher gas permeability, is flame retardant, but has low breaking strength and abrasion resistance.
Temperature range: -60°C to +200°C, briefly up to +230°C.
Fluoroelastomer
FKM / FPM (Fluoroelastomer)
Resistant to: ozone, UV radiation, vacuum, aggressive chemicals, oils and greases, inorganic acids.
Description: Thanks to its fluorine content, it is non-flammable, resistant to heat and chemicals. It has low gas permeability and minimal weight loss in vacuum.
Temperature range: -25°C to +200°C, briefly up to +230°C.
Natural rubber
NR (Natural Rubber)
Resistant to: glycol-based brake fluid, low concentration acids and alkalis, water.
Description: Outstanding for very good breaking strength, elasticity and resistance to low temperatures. Used for vibration damping and in applications requiring high fatigue resistance.
Temperature range: -50°C to +70°C
Chloroprene Rubber
CR (Chloroprene Rubber)
Resistance to: ozone, paraffin-based mineral oils, silicone lubricants, water and aqueous solutions at medium temperatures, refrigerants, atmospheric ageing, alcohols and glycols.
Description: Weather and chemical resistant, has high abrasion resistance, is non-flammable, with good mechanical properties. Widely used in various industries.
Temperature range: -40°C to +120°C.
